The end of de road. (for now)

So, as you can see from the photo at left, the cupboard is bare! Which can only mean one thing...it's time to head north. Sure there may be a few condiments to give away to friends. But basically it's time to hit the restaurants until we fly home. And we have re-potted the plants we bought and will deliver them to Mares Crane for safekeeping until next November. Will they still be alive? She swears she has a green thumb. It looked pink to me. Whatever. Also, the patio mats are rolled up and ready to go into our storage unit at Proper Yachts. We rented a small space and have filled it up to the brim. Who knew we would collect so much stuff in just five months? But why buy it all again next winter when it can sit happily in a sail locker! The bed has been striped, the sheets washed and folded,  the kitchen appliances wrapped up and stored beneath the counter. Aren't we tidy little devils? Our trusty jeep, "Bruce", has been cleaned up and made ready for new drivers. Rumor has it the jeep in sitting in a parking lot near the tennis courts with a 'for sale' sign in the front window. Will they find out that the air-conditioning only comes out of the defrosting vents? Air-conditioning may be a bit of a misnomer as the temperature never really cools off much. Anyway we enjoyed riding in "Bruce" and he got us over some incredibly rocky terrain. Way to go Bruce! So it's time to sign-off until November. Be sure to follow us this summer as JimBob attempts to live on our boat for two months. Can you say 'mayhem at sea'? Just figuring out where to put all on Jim's wardrobe will be the challenge of the century. Look...the grill is covered up. Time to fly away! Bon Voyage!
